BBC Photographer of the Year Competition 2007
entry deadline 8 July - theme is "Blue"
Following the closing date for each theme the 12 best pictures will be selected by the picture desk and displayed in a picture gallery on the BBS website a week later. Visitors will then have 48 hours in which to vote for their favourite.
The two photos that get the most votes will go forward to the final and one of you will be awarded the title of BBC News website Photographer of the Year 2007
The overall winner will receive a Nikon D40x and lens.
In addition there will be an extra prize made to the photographer whose image catches the their eye.

Send in your five best photographs capturing people from UK and abroad.
The winning photograph will be published in The Times newspaper, and the weekly winners will have their picture published on

The Times Online Travel photography competition - August
August competition wants photos of Summer and the Great Outdoors around the world, although entrants must be residents of the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Prizes: One main prize - a canon 350D camera and a 2 day travel photography course, as well as publication in the Times newspaper.
One weekly prize of Lonely Planet Photography books and publication in the Times Online on Fridays.
You must submit a portfolio of 5 pictures.
